Once you have set aside some time – maybe start with 30 minutes or 1 hour - Make the most of your time by becoming more aware of and working with nature’s influence. Autumn energy promotes three areas of focus harvest, release, and celebration. That means:
Recommitting to hard work that will result in a harvest.
Releasing what you no longer need, like a tree dropping leaves.
Connecting with community to celebrate both kinds of work. In most cultures, fall connection is already marked by a string of traditional feasts and year-end holidays.
In autumn, many plants drop leaves, fruit, or seeds that will eventually help prompt new life in spring. How can capture the energy of this kind of “fall”. Consider how you might release, harvest, or connect through the next few months.
The Full moon 9/10/22; the Fall Equinox 9/23/2; & the Energy of the #9 for September
The Full Moon is on 9/10/22
The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be will be fully illuminated. This full moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Corn Moon because the corn is harvested around this time of year. This moon is also known as the Harvest Moon. The Harvest Moon is the full moon that occurs closest to the September equinox each year.
Fall Equinox is on 9/23/22
The Sun will shine directly on the equator and there will be nearly equal amounts of day and night throughout the world. This is also the first day of fall (autumnal equinox) in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of spring (vernal equinox) in the Southern Hemisphere. Spiritually, the Equinox starts the time of shedding what is at the end of a cycle, so seeds can germinate deep within and burst forth again in the spring. Ancient wisdom tells us that the solstices and equinoxes hold spiritual messages that are important for the human journey - reminders that there is a flow to life - a time and a season. As you align yourself with the energy of the natural world, you can reflect on what you have harvested this past year. You can find in this equinox the call to balance, and you can give yourself permission to take the time you need as the season moves forward to replenish your energy.
September brings us #9 energy.
The number Nine is the last of the single-digit numbers in our base-ten counting system, and represents the end of the cycle. Ancient mathematical philosophers called it the “finishing post,” and the ancient Greeks called it “the Horizon.” It represents the uppermost limit of what can be discovered, and expressed inside of our human experience. Through effort, comes experience
Numerologists understand that the number 9 holds an exceptionally wise, spiritual energy. It contains every other number that has come before it. So symbolically, the number 9 is the container for all worldly experiences. The number 9 is also regarded as widely tolerant, loving and compassionate, though the love that it offers tends to be expressed as universal, rather than romantic – the number nine has a widely humanitarian edge.
