September 2022 - Focus

Every September the energy invites us to remember that “Return to School or Back to Work” feeling.   It is a time to turn away from summer’s lazy days and move towards tasks that need to be done before the arrival of winter and the holidays. This shift is grounded in Earth’s cycles, plus our own memory from childhood and our genetic memories from our ancestors who worked diligently to gather food before winter. The summer is ending and we our attention towards Autumn and its gifts.

September is a time we are invited to focus and invite new knowledge into our experience.   For those of us in the USA, Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer and this energetic turning point, but the more traditional and astronomical pivot is Autumn Equinox. It falls this year on September 22.

Upcoming Event at Rose Healing - Shamanic Journey with the Drum 10/2/22 @ 10 AM

Rosemary will lead you on a journey of discovery. Studies have shown that drumming changes brain wave activity, inducing a state of calm and focused awareness. We will be focusing on what you want to bring into your life or manifest in your life. In advance of the session participants are encouraged to think about or write down 2 or intentions.

I am very excited to be a Workshop Leader in an virtual intensive 4 day “Living in the Light” program led by Cheryl Banfield of Love Light Illuminations Center. Living In The Light is a vibrational training for all aspects of your being: Mind, Body, Spirit, Soul, Oneness. It is more unlearning than learning: It is for expanding self and universal awareness.

The morning sessions will consist of guided multidimensional sensory meditation. You will receive: transmissions of light, light code activations, and high resonant downloads with crystalline light frequencies. The afternoon sessions will continue your transformational shifting through powerful workshops held by 4 light facilitators, all trained LoveLight Practitioners: Catherine Anesi, Rosemary Boyle Lasher, Mandy Mathiesen and Emily Medri.

The workshops will provide interactive experiences and learning self-healing techniques for full integration of all 5 aspects of self: mind, body, spirit, soul and oneness. Living In The Light will bring you into energetic alignment by shifting your frequency. This allows the opportunity to reach newer understanding, access divine consciousness, step into cosmic flow and receive divine light, which you will then transmit out into the world.

Our September Blog continues…..

This year perhaps more than any September since I started this blog back in 2015 really invites us to deeply experience the divine through intention and focus.  It is through quiet, through DIS-connection from technology, through nature and awareness that we can go deeper into communion.   During the past 2.5 years of the pandemic we have all been so focused on screens – our phones, our computers, our TV’s and of course what felt like the never-ending Zooms.

As we move into this next phase of our experience think about how you can invite focus into your day and consider if you can do with minimal or no technology.  Those under the age of 30 might find this particularly challenging.  We have trained our brains and our nervous systems to respond to a near constant level of “alerts”.  It is ironic that is what we call them on our phone’s “alerts”.     What would a ½ a day or even a whole day look like without out something beeping for our attention?

There is something so special in the early drifting of the leaves from the trees-as if we are all to be allowed a chance to peel, to refresh, to start again.
— Ruth Ahmed, author When Ali Met Honour

Once you have set aside some time – maybe start with 30 minutes or 1 hour - Make the most of your time by becoming more aware of and working with nature’s influence. Autumn energy promotes three areas of focus harvest, release, and celebration. That means:

  • Recommitting to hard work that will result in a harvest.

  • Releasing what you no longer need, like a tree dropping leaves.

  • Connecting with community to celebrate both kinds of work. In most cultures, fall connection is already marked by a string of traditional feasts and year-end holidays.

In autumn, many plants drop leaves, fruit, or seeds that will eventually help prompt new life in spring. How can capture the energy of this kind of “fall”.   Consider how you might release, harvest, or connect through the next few months.

The Full moon 9/10/22; the Fall Equinox 9/23/2; & the Energy of the #9 for September

The Full Moon is on 9/10/22

The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be will be fully illuminated. This full moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Corn Moon because the corn is harvested around this time of year. This moon is also known as the Harvest Moon. The Harvest Moon is the full moon that occurs closest to the September equinox each year.

Fall Equinox is on 9/23/22

The Sun will shine directly on the equator and there will be nearly equal amounts of day and night throughout the world. This is also the first day of fall (autumnal equinox) in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of spring (vernal equinox) in the Southern Hemisphere.   Spiritually, the Equinox starts the time of shedding what is at the end of a cycle, so seeds can germinate deep within and burst forth again in the spring. Ancient wisdom tells us that the solstices and equinoxes hold spiritual messages that are important for the human journey - reminders that there is a flow to life - a time and a season.   As you align yourself with the energy of the natural world, you can reflect on what you have harvested this past year. You can find in this equinox the call to balance, and you can give yourself permission to take the time you need as the season moves forward to replenish your energy.

September brings us #9 energy.

The number Nine is the last of the single-digit numbers in our base-ten counting system, and represents the end of the cycle. Ancient mathematical philosophers called it the “finishing post,” and the ancient Greeks called it “the Horizon.” It represents the uppermost limit of what can be discovered, and expressed inside of our human experience. Through effort, comes experience

Numerologists understand that the number 9 holds an exceptionally wise, spiritual energy. It contains every other number that has come before it. So symbolically, the number 9 is the container for all worldly experiences. The number 9 is also regarded as widely tolerant, loving and compassionate, though the love that it offers tends to be expressed as universal, rather than romantic – the number nine has a widely humanitarian edge.

Our Crystal for September is   Ametrine

Ametrine is a rare, bicolor variety of quartz that has zones of amethyst (purple) in contact with citrine (yellow) within a single crystal. The name comes from a combination of AMEthyst and ciTRINE. It is almost exclusively found in a single Bolivian mine.  This is my personal Ametrine sphere that is placed on a holder of 3 dancing goddesses. As a stone of both balance and connection, ametrine is believed to relieve tension, bring serenity and stimulate creativity, as well as balance mental stability and self-confidence.
