Welcome March and Spring!

Winter is a difficult season for me as I think it is for many of us. One of the “silver linings” of the season is I have the good fortune to live and work in Verplanck/Cortlandt Manor right along the Hudson River. Each year from January to April (or whenever the ice stops flying on the Hudson) we have amazing sightings of the majestic bald eagle. I so adore seeing the photographers at Steamboat Dock just down the street from me. Here is one of the more incredible captures from my friend and fellow Westchester Healing Group practitioner - Will Cook.

These past few weeks of what feels like never-ending Winter here in NY have allowed me to re-focus on reading and I am connecting again with the energy of Brene’ Brown who I adore. For those of you not familiar with her work – Brene’ became famous for a TED talk – “The Power of Vulnerability” I encourage you to watch it.

She is the author of several books including the one I am currently reading: “Rising Strong: How the Ability to Reset Transform the Way We Live, Love, Parent and Lead”

I find Brene’s style of wrapping hardcore science and research with humor and storytelling to be profound methods for me to understand the concepts she is trying to convey.  The theme she has in all her work is basically that 99% of life is showing up and being our true authentic self.   Often easier said than done!

As I have gone deeper into my work at Rose Healing, I have continued to strengthen my ability to be my true authentic self no matter what circumstances I find myself in and I am profoundly grateful to help others step into their true authentic selves.

In thinking about this, I also found several writers who focus on numerology and the energy around that. March, 2019 brings the energy of the number 3 – it is the 3rd month.  The number 3 is highly expressive. It encourages us to express our truth, speak up, and communicate our needs and desires to ourselves, others, and the world. It represents the harmony and balance that is achieved when we are in alignment.  Staying balanced and paying attention to the messages of your mind, body, and soul. Stay in balance by meditating, checking in with yourself, and remember to recharge whenever you get the chance. We here are Rose Healing are here to help.

OIL OF THE MONTH:  Stress Away

Stress Away is one of my regular "go to" oils.  I find it to have a deeply calming effect on myself and my clients.

Stress Away™ essential oil blend is the first product to contain the unique combination of Lime essential oil and Vanilla extract. Stress Away oil also includes Copaiba, which has a history of beneficial properties in topical application; Lavender, with its refreshing and calming scent; and Cedarwood. All of these ingredients are expertly blended with the exotic scent of Ocotea, a unique Ecuadorian-sourced essential oil. With a perfectly balanced aroma of both tropical and citrus notes, Stress Away essential oil blend is a uniquely relaxing oasis in a fast-paced world.
