The Book of Awakening by Mark Nepo

“We can never change other people but we can change our perspective. We can change how we experience others.” Mark Nepo

Welcome to September. The whole Back to School Vibe is in effect even if it has been years since we ourselves or our children have been in school. The perfect month to invite a positive perspective. A positive perspective is essential for living a happy and fulfilling life. When we have a positive outlook, we are more likely to see the good in every situation, cope with challenges more effectively, and reach our goals.  Sometimes we can have experiences that challenge any idea of a positive day. Changing our perspective of these situations – including an awareness that you might be giving up your power to other people in affecting your daily outlook is helpful.

Integrated Energy Therapy (IET)

Integrated Energy Therapy® (IET®) an energy therapy systems that gets the “issues out of your tissues” for good! Developed at the Center of Being, by Stevan J. Thayer, IET uses the violet angelic energy ray, as brought to us through the nine Healing Angels of the Energy Field, to work directly with your 12 Strand Spiritual DNA. IET supports you in safely and gently releasing limiting energy patterns of your past, empowering and balancing your life in the present, and helps you to reach for the stars as you evolve into your future. We chose the term “Integrated” in our name to convey our vision of “integrating the pain of the past, into the power of the present, to bring about the joy of the future”. We have been privileged to see Integrated Energy Therapy live up to this vision. The IET Mission is to “Heal the world one-heart-at-a-time.  Rosemary is a certified IET practitioner. Continuing our theme of Perspective…..

Every experience we have is a teacher of a choice – do we view this through the lens of positive or negative?   Be aware that people around us deeply influence our perspective. Be aware too that you maybe in the role of the teacher to others. You may be arriving in their life to give them the opportunity to choose perspective.

There are many things we can do to cultivate a positive perspective. Here are a few tips:

1.     Practice gratitude. Take time each day to appreciate the good things in your life, big and small. This could be anything from your loving family and friends to your comfortable home or your delicious meal. When we focus on the good, it helps to boost our mood and outlook on life.

2.     Surround yourself with positive people. The people we spend time with have a big impact on our mood and outlook on life. Try to surround yourself with positive people who lift you up.

3.     Identify when you are not feeling so great around certain people.  Everyone who appears in our life is here for a reason. Sometimes that reason is to make us aware that we have a negative feeling (drained, exhausted, frustrated etc.) when we are around them. This is an invitation to become aware and perhaps limit our interactions with them.

4.     Invite Movement. Exercise (I prefer the word Movement) is not only good for our physical health, but it can also have a positive impact on our mental health. When we exercise, our bodies release endorphins, which have mood-boosting effects.

5.      Practice mindfulness. Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment without judgment. It can help us to become more aware of our thoughts and feelings, and to let go of negative emotions

6.     Do things that make you happy. Make time for activities that you enjoy and that make you feel good. This could be anything from spending time in nature, doing a hobby, seeing friends, to reading a book or listening to music.

Keeping a positive perspective is a skill that takes time and effort to develop. But it's one of the best things we can do for our mental health and overall well-being.  Consider inviting in the Divine or your Higher power to assist you every day to stay in awareness that you are in charge of your own life and your experiences. You can reclaim what you came here with -a peaceful perspective.  Rose Healing Center is here to help you.
